Problem: How to shrink the area of a geojson image by a set percentage. Solution: Use QGIS (I used v.2.18.13) Run QGIS go to PLUGINS, manage and install plugins Select: Buffer by percentage, install plugin Drag and drop the geojson file into the layers panel Activate the Buffer by percentage plugin Set Buffer area percentage, say 80 and OK Right click on result line in Layers panel and Save As In ‘Save vector layer as’ window, insert file name Select Browse to set destination and Save Select OK Job done.
