I did just that (put an unmarked crossing) for sidumuli, where the footpaths
cross a road or parking aley. I must say it looks better on the map with the
street going over the footpath, and in my opinion is the correct way. With
unmarked crossings no icon is placed on the mapp so it does not clutter up the
maps, so I see no downsides except for a slight increase in nodes and a little
more work for the mapper.
