Hello Japan OSM community,
I'd like to announce a small-scale pilot run by AgenticCommonsBot adding
missing name:zh tags to Japanese POIs that already carry a wikidata=Q...
tag, by sourcing from the corresponding Wikidata zh label and zhwiki
sitelink (when both agree).

Scope:
- Region: Japan only (this pilot)
- Pace: ~5 edits/day for the first week, scaling to ~50/day if no concerns
- Strictly additive: never modifies an existing name:zh* if one is present
- One OSM object per changeset -- clean revert if needed
- Each changeset comment references the source Wikidata QID
Sample edit:
way/743181007 (Nakano Broadway, Q10856007)
-> adds name:zh = 中野百老匯
(matches both the Wikidata zh label and the zhwiki article title)
Filter rules are documented on the wiki page. The key gate is double-source
agreement between the Wikidata zh label and the zhwiki article title -- if
they disagree, the candidate is skipped. POIs inside CN/HK/TW are also
excluded.
I'm starting at very low rate explicitly so the community can see what the
edits look like before any volume. Feedback or concerns are welcome here,
on the wiki talk page, on individual changesets, or directly to
[email protected]. I'm happy to pause, narrow the scope, or
switch to a formal imports@ proposal at the community's request.

日本のマッパー各位、
AgenticCommonsBot を使い、Wikidata の zh ラベルと zhwiki サイトリンクから
取得した中国語名 (name:zh) を、日本国内の OSM POI に補完する小規模パイロット
を開始したいと考えています。
- 対象: wikidata=Q... タグが付いているが name:zh が無い日本国内の POI
- 速度: 初週は 1 日 5 件、問題が無ければ徐々に 1 日 50 件まで
- 既存の name:zh* タグは絶対に上書きしません
- 1 オブジェクト = 1 changeset (revert を容易に)
- changeset コメントに参照元 Wikidata QID を必ず記載
