Hi, A couple of updates to our efforts. All in the wiki:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Philippines_Tropical_Storm_2010 1. Typhoon Megi/Juan is about to leave the Philippines Area of Responsiblity, fortunately, very few casualties. But the extent of damage needs to be monitored. 2. River mapping is continuing. 3. Bunny donated scanned topographic maps (1:50k). You can use the maps for adding names in the landsat derived rivers. The maps are not georeferenced you can do this via mapwarper, once rectified you can now use it in josm and merkator. Note that the topomaps are copyrighted by NAMRIA, bunny scanned them personally and is allowing the use for OSM. 4. I identified possible SPOT5 2.5 color imagery. We need to prioritize which images we should request for donation. Please edit the wiki and provide a description why we should request the specific image tile. As of this time, we have very little data we can offer to relief and rescue workers, but given the resources in the wiki. I believe we can provide good data soon. Thanks to everyone. -- cheers, maning ------------------------------------------------------ "Freedom is still the most radical idea of all" -N.Branden wiki: http://esambale.wikispaces.com/ blog: http://epsg4253.wordpress.com/ ------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ talk-ph mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ph
