If you click on the little plus sign in the main osm map today, you will notice that the osmarender layer is gone. The maintainers of this layer decided to discontinue the service starting today [0]. For the oldies, this layer was state of the art back then. Prior to mapnik's daily updates, you can see you latests updates only in osmarender/tiles@home.
