Hi guys, The guys from MapBox have been hard at work on developing the new iD editor, which was first initiated by Richard Fairhurst who is the main developer of the Potlatch 1 and Potlatch 2 editors.
Unlike Potlatch 1 and 2, which use Adobe Flash, or the JOSM editor which needs Java, the iD editor is a native HTML5 application. You just need a recent web browser such as Firefox, Opera, Safari, or IE 10 and you can edit OSM at once. Learn more about the recent features that have been added to the iD editor since the Alpha release here: http://mapbox.com/blog/id-for-openstreetmap-reaches-beta-1/ And you can give the editor a spin here: http://ideditor.com/ Happy mapping!
