Dear everyone, The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is implementing a disaster awareness and mapping project for SE Asia and Caribbean dubbed as "Maptastic!" [0]. The basic idea is for local communities through the youth, to map and understand the local hazards and risk and enable the local community to respond to the situation.
One tool they will is of course, OpenStreetMap [1] and they are looking for OSM contributors to participate in the project. The initial area for the Philippines is Mindanao. If anyone here is interested to join the project as trainors, facilitators, mappers. You can contact Leonard Doyle ([email protected]) of IOM. @Leonard, please update this list if you have further info about the project not mentioned in the post and prezi slides. Good luck with your project!
