I was simply asking if there was an organization behind it as some across the pond have sponsorship. For instance, the Clemson mapping party is being helped by CLUG [1] as I have done a presentation on OSM at a meeting last spring and we're hosting the Southeast Linux fest [2] (Free maps ftw).
