US OSMers, The election for the temporary board of directors is currently underway. All the elligible voters have been contacted. If you were on the list I sent out previously and you haven't recieved an email by now, please contact me so I can correct it.
Elections will last two weeks and end on February 28nd at 8pm EST (midnight GMT). Once the votes are in Monday, I will be announcing the winner of the election to this mailing list and the new board members will need to get together to work out their positions in the new board and work with the existing folks to ensure a smooth transition. The US OSM call tentatively scheduled for March 4th will be run by the new board. Once the organization has incorporated, there should be an opportunity for folks to join the Local Chapter, and there will be an opportunity for a membership-elected board. >From everyone involved in the working group that's been involved in creating this chapter, we want to thank you for your interest and involvement in the OpenStreetMap US Chapter, and hope that you stay with us and become members of the new organization.
