Well since you put it like that, I won't try to argue that it is
correct, just that it is there.  I'll claim, "Hysterical Raisins" and
wave my hands a bit.  It could be as simple as, "We don't have state
abbreviations. I'll add them to the sate nodes, because the polygons
take too long to load in memory..."
