OK, seriously... I guess I just need to save myself some effort and start using a form letter for this.
I was looking at more untagged/unconnected nodes in the area and found two more users who left a steaming pile of nodes in their wake: jumbanho: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/changeset/7399894 stucki1: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/changeset/2798639 These are just representative changesets. The total number of bad nodes is: jumbanho: 6,844 stucki1: 30,226 And that is just in North/South Dakota since that's the bbox I was using when I noticed it. I'm guessing there may be more in Minnesota. Both of these users are still active so I'm hoping they will respond to my messages, unlike the Oklahoma user. I told them to get on talk-us if they weren't already so we can discuss more. I will hold off on deleting them just yet on the off chance that there is a way to recover and fix things with active users involved.
