Would I be correct in stating that tagging an undivided 2 lane (one lane in each direction) highways would be improper, even if a state calls the highway a "trunk" for planning purposes? Especially if it's in the middle of a town with a low speed limit. I understood trunk to be divided and limited access (but not fully grade-separated). One of our more prolific editors seems to have gone hog wild with the trunk tag in Texas.

I'm changing the undivided segments to primary where I've recently driven the highway and can therefore personally verify they aren't eligible for trunk tagging. In all cases I've seen so far the road is in fact the primary route between cities in the (rural) area, so seems to qualify for primary on that basis, in addition to being signed US highways.
