And do not wait!  Start by holding local OSM meetings NOW!  You'll
only have a few more monthly meetings before GIS day.  Do it.  You'll
want other local mappers who are experienced enough to help lighten
the load on mapping party day.  Start today to make them experienced
enough. ;-)

Really do this.  We're having another Toronto Mappy Hour tonight
(don't miss it).  It's always awesome.  People come form other cities
to attend.  Really.  You just need to start this ball rolling.  There
are others nearby who just want somebody else to pick the date and
place.  Do it!
