Ehh... not sure OSMZmiany is the best tool for this. Once you get a lot of nodes loaded in, it takes up a few hundred MB of RAM and performs like crap. Like 5 seconds to zoom/pan. However I do have an idea or two to make something that would work better. There was something like this back when the TIGER import was new to help people connect major highways across county lines.
