Hi Steve, Sorry we didn't get word out to you earlier-- we've put this together somewhat rapidly, and I'm still in the process of organizing all of the local user group community research I'm working on. Reaching out to you is on my list! :)
I don't see any reason that your event on the 27th can't be considered a part of the editathon, if you'd like. After the event I expect we'll put together at least a blog post on OSM.us and we're more than happy to include contributions from Seattle!
