Thank you. We have not started yet. I have completed a few "practice" ones to make sure that I explain the process correctly. One of those is the Eberly building.
Yes this is our first one and I am having them completing it in class. So the first step will be to create all the buildings and then next semester we will attack different areas of main campus - trees, paths, etc. Thank you for the link. Finally after I have completed the project next week, I will be contacting the other 13 schools in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and see if in the Fall we can have a system wide mapping party. Putting CalU on the map sounds like a good objective; except for one building there is no trace of CalU on OSM as yet... Is this your first mapping party? Let us know if you need anything to help make it a success. If you need inspiration for things to map on a campus, have a look at some well-mapped campuses around the U.S. Here's our local campus: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=40.76435&lon=-111.84401&zoom=16&layers=M Makes me think, what are some of the best mapped campuses in the U.S.? -- Martijn van Exel On Apr 16, 2013, at 8:24 AM, "Mueller, Thomas" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Hello My name is Tom Mueller and I am a GIS professor at California University of Pennsylvania.
