Hi all, I mentioned this in another thread but it may have gotten buried.
Have you ever wanted to see all local OSM groups on a map? If you're anything like me, you have! There are 'solutions' that don't quite work for me, like this map<http://usergroups.openstreetmap.de/>that has been around for a while. You need to have a wiki page and add special template code to that page. If that sounds like too much work, you are not alone: a lot of the North American OSM groups I know are not on there, or the information is incomplete or outdated. That's history now! Adding your group to this map here<https://github.com/osmlab/localgroups/blob/master/osmgroups.geojson>is easy as pie! *Just follow the instructions here <https://github.com/osmlab/localgroups/blob/master/README.md> to get your local group on the map right now*. What makes this map great? * Anyone can do it in minutes. * Use it anywhere! Either with the embed code on the readme page, or get the geoJSON and * Polygons! Please forward to other lists as you see fit. -- Martijn van Exel http://oegeo.wordpress.com/ http://openstreetmap.us/
