Thanks for sharing. I pulled the data for Washington State. Looking at the
data suggests we need to get better definition of the fields. There are a
number of fields that appear interesting but I have no clue as to what they
mean. Some interesting examples, Toll_Type, HOV Type, Truck_VN, and
Route_Sign. A search of the HPMS Field Manual found more information that I
could ever want! It tooks some search just to figure out that AADT (traffic
counts I think) isn't something that we tag.

The routes information is very interesting. It would be interesting to
compare to our route relations.

I would suggest that we invite someone from US DOT to join us on a video
chat to help us better understand the ARNOLD database. From there we might
look at where we could use the data as a cross check. For example, lane
count.


FYI - For those inclined, I'd suggest just pulling 2012. It appears that
2011 is just an older version of 2012.
