Yesterday I took ~1 mln rides we made in December and matched them to the OSM road network. With that I found a few hundred points where an actual trace diverged from the matched one quite often. This usually means a oneway tag is wrong, or a turn restriction is incomplete.

Thanks, Ilya -- this *is* fun! You've caught a lot of bad tagging that's been sitting for years. Looks like we're about a third of the way through these already. Teamwork!

I suspect that some of the problems aren't previous bad editing or even TIGER issues, but actual wilful vandalism.  I mentioned the problems due to this user last year (see https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-us/2018-December/019144.html ), but as they keep doing the same thing and resisting all calls for them to get in contact, I suspect it's probably deliberate.

I've just had a go at patching up their latest efforts (in changeset 67172109 and the one before it - I'll comment on that when the OSM website comes back).  The admin relations 175711, 175698 and 175708 now look sane, but 397330 and 400000 look to have been broken for some time and could definitely benefit from someone local trying to figure out what is correct there (I'm guessing most of the wood one isn't).

Best Regards,

Andy
