I'm also leaning towards the cd:ngi imagery because of more generally
consistant alignment. Whatever your preference, it's still a good idea to
check the alignment with (good quality) GPS traces (if available).

I have found having multiple sources available is useful for comparison
(e.g. that lake runs empty during the dry season, that road construction is
complete, or that amusement park used to be an airfield). Even though the
imagery date isn't available.you can often find clues as to which source
suits your purpose better.
