Talk-ZA, There is a new IRC (chat) channel for OpenStreetMap South Africa.
http://irc.openstreetmap.org/ channel is #osm-za (irc.OFTC.net network) For anyone not familiar with IRC... it is a live interactive group chat, anyone can join in at any time and ask questions or discuss relevant topics in realtime. The main "#osm" channel has over 230 people in the channel, thankfully not everyone discusses things at once. The channel is sometimes quiet for a few hours, but is always ready for questions. The new #osm-za is channel is still very quiet for the moment. New South African editors/mappers are announced in the channel by an automated bot as soon as they make their first edit. There is also a South African section coming to http://forum.openstreetmap.org/ soon.
