hi list,
I thought some of the audio gurus on here could help me out.
i am going to be working at a call center at my school. my goal is to have jaws in one ear and the phone conversation in the other so that i can input people's info while talking. i am using the plantronics h261n headset, which connects to a box with a phone jack connection and can't connect to the pc.

i have been told three different options for accomplishing my goal.
the first is to buy a mini phono to mini phono cable, connect it to the line in on the pc and the box where the headset is connected, and then connect the headset to the pc. but that doesn't work because there's no place on the box to hook in the mini phono cable.

the second option is to get another amplifier to hook the headset up to, the mx10. this amplifier does allow for input from the phone and the pc to come out of the same headset, but the problem is, i won't be able to customize it so that the phone only comes in one ear. the third option is to buy a mixer. my theory is that the mixer would work in conjunction with option 2. the poblem is i don't know if this would work and i'm having trouble finding two channel mixers.

as you can tell, i'm tech illiterate. if any one would be willing to help out with this, i'd be very apreciative.
