Hey, sometimes peaceful oblivian is a good thing. Its summer, hot out, and
generally atmospherically blah. Maybe nobody has the energy to write anything.
I have some cool air blowing on me at the moment, which has created enough
reserve power to write this, however, the expenditure is fast draining this
reserve and i fear i may not be able to complete this post in its enti

I am reposting a message I sent here a few months back, as it now
seems to be true once again. Fix it!

I regret to inform all of you that this list has officially died.

As is the case with most lists with an alarmingly high number of posts in a
brief expanse of time, the activity is short-lived and the fuel runs out
eventually.
This seems to be the case with the list known as talk2, run by some weird
little non-descript, anonymous dude in London.

The talk2 list was once a cool list, used for the discussion of anything and
everything -- except one-liners, which were not tolerated and were dealt
with accordingly.

Now, however, not even a single rfc-822 compliant string hits the
distribution point, and thus nothing is sent out of the list.

Many people seem to think that the list, and it's founder, have died.
As far as most of the online community can surmise, this is indeed the case.

One of the most prominent theories of the list's death can best be
described, in brief, "boredom".
People like talking about nothing, however, when interesting ideas are
presented or if a thread is generated with well-founded points, and good
content, the appeal of the original idea for list creation is soon lost, and
the participants of said list drift away into a beautiful oblivian.

Please note, the entity known as Patrick is a very bored little individual,
and thus, spends far too much time stating obvious facts and not caring too
much about the sequencers.

The power switch enables you to influence the lives of milions of dogs
across North, Central and South America.
thank you.
