seems such a long time since we last got in touch but I know everything is
I don't know if i told you but i research and deliver touch tours at the
Design Museum. I'd like to share some more details in case you are
interested or know someone who may be. I'm just getting back to work since
our last event and will be in touch to discuss our proposed sound project.
There is just one more step that i need to get through and everything else
will come together.
Please find below information about the forthcoming multisensory tour of the
new Design Museum, now in Kensington. I hope you are able to attend but also

The new Design MuseumThe new Design Museum re-opened in its spectacular new
location today Thursday 24 November in High Street Kensington and a
multisensory building tour for visually impaired visitors will hold on
Saturday 3 December 2016, from 12:00 - 13:30 This free tour will offer an
insight into the transformation of the new Design Museum, identifying key
architectural features of the building and sharing insight into the history
of this landmark modernist structure.
The session will take place in the museum’s new Creative Workshop and will
include a talk and discussion as well as the opportunity to handle sample
materials from the building.
The new Design Museum offers three times more space, a brand new Swarovski
Foundation Centre for Learning, a 202-seat Bakala Auditorium with capacity
for 6 wheelchairs and a dedicated gallery for its permanent collection,
accessible free of charge.

Tours are free for blind and partially sighted visitors and their
companions, including exhibition entry.
Advance booking is recommended but not essential. We will prefer to know who
to expect at the tour so we can have appropriate assistance on the day if
needed, so we encourage visitors to please book through the museum online
booking system. The tour meets in the museum foyer 10 minutes before the
session is due to begin.
