An even better option:

An options/properties page within the BWS client that sets the default
paths to various clients.

I like the idea of reading from the 'launchpath.txt' file for
incorporation into future/current BWS scripts for possible switching
between Workstation client versions...... as Thom is right the focus for
the Meditech Client using the redirecting manner is lost.

Greetings,

Save it as .exe - name it exactly to what your Shell command in your
scripts are using.

That way the scripts don't need to be changed - they are just launching
this exe instead, which in turn launches McKesson for you.

Also...

In the interest of full accuracy the code I sent needed a minor
change...the exe has this change already.

Shell textline, vbNormalFocus

Thom

Greetings,

What you need is an actual program - see attached.

This will launch a program specified within the launchpath.txt file -
NOTE for Meditech folks - shelling this will NOT connect BWS to
Meditech.

(I thought the C/S connection didn't really care whether its cmagic vs
vmagic btw - also heard of folks renaming the exe too).

Anyhow.

Put this in the directory where HBOWem used to be - and rename it to be
hbowem32.exe

Then put a text file named launchpath.txt in that directory (see
attached as well)

In the file - put in the full path to where the new hbowem is.

Here is the code that is inside this program for those that are
interested.

Sub Main()

Open App.Path & "\launchpath.txt" For Input As #1

Do While Not EOF(1) ' Loop until end of file.

   Line Input #1, textline

Loop

Close #1 ' Close file

Shell textline

End Sub

Thom
