Hey Mitch...

Big thanks...the Control-End seems to work fine with it...The Senior
Financial Analyst that requested the script indicated that I/the script
had to down arrow through the list and so that's where I left
it...Didn't even try anything else (that'll teach me)...

I'll run with this and if I run into something unforeseen I may come
back to pick everyone's brain again...

Thanks!!

I've never heard of this. Can you send a

Key "^{End}" to reach the end of the list?

If not, if your list ends with your cursor in a blank spot, you can do a
loop that does something along the lines of:

'Clear view buffer and get yourself into the first field

Key "@_CLEAR"

Enter "" 'or Tab "" or Key "{Tab}", whatever

'Initialize variables and start looping

LENGTH = <length of field being looked at>

strScrape = Trim(View(,,Row,Col,LENGTH))

Do While strScrape <> ""

 Key "@_CLEAR"

 Keys "{Down}"

 strScrape = Trim(View(,,Row,Col,LENGTH))

Loop

'Continue on with script

Thank you,

Subject: [talkbws] How to enter random downs...

I'm working on a script in Meditech C/S whose purpose is to convert RCR
accounts in ABS...at one point in the script it will be necessary for
the script to enter a number of downs...This could be 10 or it could be
150...It's basically Meditech's way of requiring that the user go
through all the entries...So essentially I need to enter {Down} until it
reaches the bottom of the list at which point the user/script can enter
a {Tab} and proceed on with the rest of the scripts requirements...

Reading the data present in the screen really won't help as it doesn't
really matter because one patient may have 25 entries and the next
132...

Is there a way to facilitate this? Thanks!
