Thanks for your input, Brian -

Can @_dialog be used for "screen scraping" the verbiage within a dialog
box? At the moment, that's what I need to do.

Subject: [talkbws] RE: M'Tech Magic Nui Dialog Box

I've got a few scripts that seem to work only via VB. Some confirmation
windows work just fine with the Key "@_Dialog:{enter}" others seems a
little more stubborn. If it's a yes/no confirmation box I use:

Pause ("confirmat...@1,1")
Key "@_Dialog:Y"

If it's on OK confirmation box (mostly when you have finished
downloading from Meditech) I use:

Pause("mess...@1,1")
Key "@_Dialog:O"

You could add {} around the Y and the O if you wanted to, but NUI seems
to work just as well with out as it does with. I think with NUI we were
supposed to forego the "@_Dialog" and could just use Key "{Y}" or Enter
"Y". But what ever works best for what ever situation.

Subject: [talkbws] M'Tech Magic Nui Dialog Box

Hi All,

I'm using:
BWS 9.8 patch 741 (Build 1377)
Meditech Magic 5.62

I'm in the process of rewriting an ancient, but working, script - it was
written in version 6 or 6.5.

I'm using VBA with BWS, a procedural script, not rules based.

Among other refinements, the script is being rewritten to run in the
Meditech Magic NUI

I'm having a strange problem with a Meditech Nui dialog box - note that
this works just dandy against the Meditech 3.x workstation.

Give then following dialog box:

YES/NO Confirmation

  ? There is 1 file WAITING,Continue?

                YES NO

The existing view statement against the Old workstation works fine:
View(Row:=1, Col:=17, Length:=21)
I don't really expect it to work against the NUI, and I haven't been
disappointed.

I want to read the statement "There is 1 file WAITING,Continue".

With the script paused, if I do the following view statement, here's
what is returned to my immediate window with this dialog box:

?View(Row:=1, Col:=1, Length:=150)
Yes/No Confirmati
There is 1 file W
Dialog Box
&Yes

Interesting, no? Everything is on line 1....What I want to read is
actually on line 2 - or so I would think, but a view against line 2
returns nothing at all. If I try the view from further out then column
17 on line 1 nothing is returned.

Am I missing something?

Thanks
