Greetings,

How exactly are you opening the spreadsheet? The only way to close those
windows if they are "created" by something a script did, is to have
another script that watches for the window and closes it.

If this is Excel 2007, I'd suggest going into Excel's Trust Center and
turning off the security so the window doesn't appear anymore.

I got the below window by clicking the new "big button that indicates
file menu J" selecting Excel Options button - then Trust Center - then
Trust Center Settings.

In previous versions it was I think under the Macros menu option -
things were easier back then I suppose.

I've successfully run macros after having done that using the
DataStation

 D.open "excel file.xls",ftExcel

D.t.appl.Run "macro name",optional param1, 2'

You get up to 30 parameters.

Regards,

Thom

Subject: [talkbws] Excel Security Warning window

I can't seem to respond to MS Excel's "Security Warning" window when
connecting to a spreadsheet that contains macros. All I want to do is
open the spreadsheet, enable macros, launch a particular macro, then
save and exit but I'm stuck at the "warning" window for macros. In fact
I can't even pause the script until I manually respond to it. Any
idea's?

              Thanks,
