Glad you pointed this out - I will have my example below added to the
documentation and website.
Anyhow, to make a long story short, what's going on is a dropdown (File
name, file type etc are) is opening - that's the message you're seeing.
Why? Because dropdowns always have button - the arrow to the right of
the text - that is programmatically named Open.
This worked for me to filter out the dropdown's open and just click the
open button you actually want.
SmartDialog("Open", "File name:<Editable text>").Value = "whatever"
SmartDialog("Open", "Open<Push button>#focusable default#").Click

Connections dialog
I am writing a script in Meditech Magic in the GL module. Option 12.
Read Batches From PC File when selected opens a Windows file Open
dialog. I am using the following 2 lines:
w.SmartDialog("Open", "File name:<Editable text>").Value = _reportPath &
theFile.Name
w.SmartDialog("Open", "Open<Push button>").Click()
The first line works fine, inserting the correct file name into the file
name box. The second line does not work. A message flashes on the
dialog box but it happens too quick to tell what it is. Does anyone
have any idea why this isn't working or better yet how to make it work?
