Look at the .bds file and see if there's a tag called DirectUpdate and it's set to True. I'm guessing that the .bds file was rewritten and not quite right.

This script has been running for a few months without this problem, which just started recently. I have restarted the computer that it runs on, which didn't do anything for me, so I am asking for any additional ideas on what to try at this point. Also, the .bds file contains the data that was gathered from the web script, but the excel file doesn't have anything in it. So to answer your question, yes it is configured.
