I was thinking when the red X/file-close on BWS is clicked as I have created a
global hot key using API and if the hot key is not disengaged properly, it will
fail in the future.

I was hoping to have something automatic so that the end user wouldn't have to
do anything.

Here is a brief summary of what my script does...

1) Initializes some global variables, instance class modules, and run a
procedure that sets up my hotkey.

2) Before I move to the next step which connects to Star, the hotkey has
to be pressed.

3) Once pressed, the script scrapes data from Star to use in another
application

4) When the processing is done in the other application, I have the
script go back to what I called a Holding_Pattern Step which resets my hotkey
and waits for the next time that it is pressed to pull the data from Star and
enter it to the other program.

When the user is done for the day and closes the program, I need this hotkey
deactivation code to process so when the user starts up again there will be no
errors.

Subject: [talkbws] RE: Running a Procedure Prior to Close

Greetings,
Meaning red x in a "connected to" application?
Is this a script that is watching a user? Or a script you run that does stuff,
then you shut the application down by hand?
Event manager could do this, but may also be overkill, but would need to know
more.

Thom

Subject: [talkbws] Running a Procedure Prior to Close

Basically what I am asking is, upon clicking the red X or File --> Close, would
I be able to run a procedure to clean some things up? I am assuming it would
have to do with EventManager, but I am not familiar with using that.

Thanks,

Garrett S. O'Sullivan
