Greetings,

Yes /r scriptname

Here is an example "shortcut property"

Note you can use Options - Create a Shortcut for this Script to create
an icon on the desktop

C:\Bss70\Bss80.exe C:\Projects\myProject1.bws/r MyScript1

And here goes the full story:

You can customize the operation of BWS from the command line using the
following parameters.

A command line includes a Path, File name and Argument(s). The optional
Arguments (Parameters) allow you to customize the way the program runs.
For example, you could include a Parameter to start Boston WorkStation
in a Minimized state.

Note: The Boston WorkStation Application file is stored in the folder
where BWS was installed. The file name has the prefix BSS and includes
the version number, for example:

C:\BSS70\BSS80.exe

*       Open a Project
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineProject.html>
        You can open a specific Project File when BWS Starts.
* Start a Script or Subroutine
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineRoutine.html>
        The /r Parameter will automatically run a Script, Subroutine or
Module when BWS starts.
*       Command Property
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineCommand.html>
        The /c Parameter sets the value of the BWS Command Property when
you start BWS.
*       Minimize Parameter
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineMinimize.html>
        Minimize Boston WorkStation to the Taskbar when BWS starts.
*       Not Visible Parameter
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineNotVisible.html>
        Start BWS as a Background Program.
*       Web Parameter
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineWeb.html>
        Display the Web toolbar when Boston WorkStation starts.
*       Rules Scripting Parameter
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineRules.html>
        Enable Rules Scripting views when Boston WorkStation starts.
*       Procedure Scripting Parameter
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineProcedure.html>
        Enable Procedure Scripting views when Boston WorkStation starts.

*       Set Enterprise Name Parameter
<mk:@MSITStore:C:\Bss70\bws.chm::/CommandLineEnterprise.html>
        Set the computer enterprise name when Boston WorkStation starts.

Subject: RE: [talkbws] Runtime Switch

Hi Thom,

If it's minimized they can't see the Run (Play) button. I know to hit
F5, but they probably won't... is there a way to tell a script to start
running immediately once its opened?

Greetings,

If memory serves, there's not, but you can either minimize the
workstation to the systray  /t

so there is just a little B icon

or have nothing visible at all /nv

For the /nv route be sure to have Shutdown=tTue called at the end of the
script UNLESS THESE ARE SCHEDULED SCRIPTS OF COURSE!

Shutdown=True that will close the instance of BWS.

Regards,

Thom

Subject: [talkbws] Runtime Switch

Does anyone know if there is a switch like a "/r" that can be added to a
shortcut so that a end user will only see it in Runtime even if there is
a full license on the PC? I know you can change it to runtime in the
toolbar, but this make every script open in runtime...

Thanks,

Reese
