Well considering differences in systems it's usually best to write your own script rather than trying to hassle with modifying another script that sort of does what you need. So is this a project to register patients in Test? Since there is a lot of different types of accounts, ways to register and differences depending upon whether it's a new patient, has insurance, etc., you'll either need a bunch of separate scripts or one complicated one. Since it is for Test and you're relatively new I suggest starting small, and then copying that script for each variation. I'd do an existing patient short form. Create a spreadsheet with a column for each piece of required information. After that script is built each variation afterwards should be relatively straight forward. Boston tech support should help to get you started if you're overwhelmed. Chad Kemp Information Systems Analyst Firelands Regional Medical Center 419-557-7874

I have written a few scripts to update some fields in Payroll and a few other small scripts. We have a project where we need to register a large number of patients. I would like to create a script to register patients (either via the long or short form) in Meditech C/S 5.5. Would anyone be willing to share a script or some guidelines for creating the script?
