I dump multiple files into a Send folder on the shared drive that my script user has access to. Then the parameters I set in the command line code for CoreFTP say to send all the files in that folder. Then of course I have BWS move them around afterwards so they don't get sent everyday. If you decide to utilize this, you might want to read the documentation on using CoreFTP's command line-the documentation is very good.the below code is in a batch file, and I have set up to execute the batch file daily in the Windows Task scheduler.
"c:\Program Files\coreftp\coreftp.exe" -site csservices -O -u s:\hpmin\cbh\send\*.* -p / -output C:\coreftp_output.txt -log C:\coreftp_Log.txt The code that I have in place above: "c:\Program Files\coreftp\coreftp.exe" - this executes CoreFTP -site csservices - This is the name of the profile I set up within CoreFTP for the company I FTP files to daily -O - Overwrite the file if it exists (you may or may not want to do this - depends on your workflow/processes) - u - Upload the files from the following location (the *.* indicates to upload all the files in the "send" folder in that location on my network) Last two parameters - I have this set up to generate output files for troubleshooting (which, I have only had to use once in the 3 months that I've had this script working - and it was the other vendor's problem, not BWS or CoreFTP). Here is the site to download/research if you like: http://www.coreftp.com/ This process is working well for me, if you have any questions, feel free to email me. I would be glad to help anyone out with this, because it took me forever to get a working process. THE only issue is that each file requires a new FTP session. If you send 6 files the command lines will launch your FTP program 6 times.....Unless someone know that command to send multiple files via a single command. :) Brian Bennett Affinity Health Systems Systems Analyst PBS\Clinic Billing (920)628-9055 [email protected] ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, March 04, 2010 5:56 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [talkbws] FTPS script needed I just have my script create whatever files are needed and then use a product like CoreFTP to "pick" them up and send them on via SFTP to their end destination.I know it's another app but it works very well. Meditech currently doesn't have secure FTP capabilities. Does any one have a script, which will allow to FTPs and is willing to share? Thanks in advance.
