I am using this code in an Access Database, but it (or something real close to
it) should work in BWS. We had to upgrade to version 10 of WinZip to be able
to use the command line parameters:

Function ZipFiles()

    Dim file1 As String

    Dim file2 As String

    Dim file3 As String

    Dim file4 As String

    Dim zip1 As String

    Dim CmdString As String

    Dim a As Variant

    file1 = "C:\DOWNLOAD\COMPASS\ACCTS" & Format(Date, "mmddyy") & ".TXT"

    file2 = "C:\DOWNLOAD\COMPASS\TXN" & Format(Date, "mmddyy") & ".TXT"

    file3 = "C:\DOWNLOAD\COMPASS\ZERO" & Format(Date, "mmddyy") & ".TXT"

    file4 = "C:\DOWNLOAD\COMPASS\UNBILLED" & Format(Date, "mmddyy") & ".TXT"

    zip1 = "M:\COMPASS\DRH" & Format(Date, "mmddyy") & ".ZIP"

    CmdString = "c:\program files\winzip\wzzip " & zip1 & " " & file1 & " " &
file2 & " " & file3 & " " & file4

    a = Shell(CmdString)

End Function

Subject: [talkbws] Zipping a file

I am looking at a process to have Boston alter a file that comes from McKesson
Star and then sending it via FTP to a vendor site for processing. The problem
is my vendor only accepts zipped files - does anyone know if Boston is capable
of compressing a file? Maybe as a VB process??

Also does anyone know if Boston has a size limitation on FTP? The files in
question are just under 1MB.

Thanks!
