Greetings, Looks to me like you either highlighted text in the application viewer window and toggled Title off then back on in the AutoPause toolbar.
Or that's a screen where there is no "text" until Row 12 - and it's a line or something on the Meditech screen. I also see that you are also looking for the cursor to be an a range of positions on that screen - on Row 24, starting column 38 which means you must have highlighted the current cursor position indicator + some more area in the application So why would the script hang here? The asterisks in and of themselves are not a problem, it is a perfectly valid thing to look for the existence of many asterisks on the screen. But perhaps they shift up or down on this screen? If so, you can add @ *,* to the Title condition (or if using current shipping version of BWS - add a "search range" Or perhaps the cursor is not on the same Row as you're looking -or it does not fall inside your range? All conjecture without the screen in front of me. I've always advocated folks pay close attention to what the AutoPause toolbar has selected because when you build a command - what's in AutoPause is what is used to create the Rule's Conditions (or to create PauseRule commands if not using Rules). Remember - conditions are the only eyes your script has! In Meditech Magic most of the time, what the AutoPause toolbar picks up automatically is what you want the script to look for before it performs a given action. But Most <> Always. A good habit to get into when building a script: 1. Decide what you want the script to type, put it into the Data window 2. Look at the AutoPause toolbar, decide if the active selections + values are good and unique "eyes" for the situation 3. Build the Rule (or command) 4. Rinse and repeat Regard, Thom Thom C. Sometimes when I am creating the actions in a step, I have asterisks appear for a title? See below: That is what is inserted when I'm creating the script, so when I go to execute the script - it stops on that action. What causes this, and how do I solve the problem? Thanks for your help.
