RemoveTabString = Left(Range("a1"), InStr(1, Range("a1"), Chr(9)) - 1) &
Mid(Range("a1"), InStr(1, Range("a1"), Chr(9)) + 1)
I had to cheat and lookup the character code for Tab so "9" may be
wrong. The above will give you the substring from range A1 without the
Tab. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, August 23, 2010 10:16 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [talkbws] tab controls in data fields I've got a problem with a vendor file. One of the fields (only 1, not all) has an embedded tab control which forces Meditech 5.64 to tab to the next field when issuing a key D("1") statement. I have tried the trim function, and the replace function to remove the tab. I have checked for vbLF, vbCr, vbTab, vbHT. No joy. Anyone have a suggestion on how to get around this issue?
