I believe the issue is a buffer size - I forget what the limit is. The
work around is to chunk the data into the field with the key command
running in a loop.

Subject: [talkbws] Proper syntax for @_FASTKEY?

Quick question. I'm doing a Meditech C/S 5.64 ITS Quick Text dictionary
update and I'm having issues entering the replacement text, which is
usually several paragraphs.

My data source has the entire replacement text in one field and BWS
enters the text, but enters it seemingly to a random amount of the text.

For example, if my datasource field is:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Mauris quis
tellus lorem, a varius leo. Aenean fringilla dictum commodo. Fusce
tortor nulla, placerat ac ultricies vel, tempor ac massa. Cras
pellentesque, tortor vitae imperdiet commodo, augue magna vestibulum
lacus, sit amet varius elit purus sit amet neque. Nunc a diam auctor
dolor porttitor imperdiet. Aenean ornare, leo in mollis tincidunt, nisi
purus tincidunt justo, sit amet suscipit elit lectus a nisi.
Suspendisse commodo posuere risus, eu pretium ligula
euismod et. Quisque ut risus non mi cursus rhoncus.

Then BWS enters:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Mauris quis
tellus lorem, a varius leo. Aenean fringilla dictum com

I think it is because BWS is too fast for meditech. I've done two things
to try and alleviate this issue:

1. Share("WaitSpeed") = 0.8

2. Turn off FastKey

My question is, would this be the proper syntax to turn off fastkey,
enter my replacement text, then turn fastkey back on?

Key "@_FASTKEYOFF"

Key D("REPLACEMENT TEXT")

Key "@_FASTKEYON"

Does anyone have any other suggestions for getting all my text into
Meditech?

Thank you,
