I took another approach that is working well but, it does have me wondering. The app is Meditech Client version 5.2 using the Client 5.6/6 connection. I was looking at the "Effective Date" in the General section of the B/AR editing window and, if the Effective Date wasn't empty, keying down to the next until I hit the first empty field. I'm able to do this by incrementing the "row" in "Value" until the row is always the last row scrolling and then just keying down. But the question still begs, is there a way to read the value that happens to have focus without specifying the col, row? Or would you read the current location to pass those values in?
