For test patients, the short form is used. For the OR Pre
Registrations, it is the long form.

John,

Do you use the short registtration screens for this script or the full
registration?

I am doing some contract work and they have just started discussing
scripting of test patients.

My thoughts where the short form registration for Clinical Patients. I
am assuming you would need

the Full Registration for inpatients.

Thanks

For training or OR pre registrations Heather?

Training patients are read in from a spreadsheet. The clinical support
nurses have a set of test patients and test locations that I use based
on their training schedule.

OR pre registrations are done as they come over from the GE Periop
system. BWS reads and parses the HL7 file to validate the registration.
Any exceptions are kicked out and emailed to the OR registration folks.

Thanks,

John Taylor

Hi John,

I'm just curious how the automated registration process works? Is all of
the information entered in a spreadsheet prior to? Just trying to think
about how we could make this work for our patients.

Thanks!

We use BWS for test patient registrations for training and other large
scale needs. BWS is also used for OR Pre-Registrations from the GE
Periop system.

Hello.

I've noticed folks are using BWS for financials, order entry, website
lookups and the like. I'm curious - does anyone use BWS in Patient
Accounting or Patient Management? We often use it for mass test
registrations for downstream applications.
