If you have +, or ^ you'd want to do the same thing. With stuff like this, I'll use a function that way you catch all of them at once. Enter cleanchars(d("field")) Function CleanChars(S as string) as string S=replace(S,"%","%%") S=replace(S,"^","^^") S=replace(S,"+","++") Cleanchars=S End function Thom C. I have only limited space (like 35 characters), so %% will only enter one %, correct? Reese E. Walker Sr Systems Analyst, MSO/Physician Support Phoebe Physician Group (229) 312-5868 From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 24, 2011 10:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [talkbws] Entering a % The issue here is that % means something specific to the Enter command - it's a signal to press the Alt key. That's what's causing your script grief - it's doing exactly what it was told to do J This will fix your problem: Enter Replace(D("15"),"%","%%") Doubling up the % using the Replace command instructs the enter command to send the actual % character, not an Alt. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 24, 2011 10:32 AM To: Talk Subject: [talkbws] Entering a % I have a need to be able to enter a % into a system from the data station... Right now it is causing the script to stop... this is a note file that I am entering into our system from a flat file from another system. D("15")="Peachcare 101-150% FPL 06/13/2011" Enter D("15") I guess I could replace the "%", but that might not make sense to anyone who is reading the notes... Any other ideas? Thanks, Reese Reese E.
