Absolutely. I used to use Source Safe but needed more.
I use SVN, with Tortoise SVN for a client. It's a windows explorer shell add in so it works well with bws. I export the .bas, .cls, .frm files so I can diff between versions. It's not completely integrated, but it is way better than not having source control at all. http://tortoisesvn.net/ If you are using .NET then you can use the AnkhSVN plugin for VS I've used it on vs 2010 and vs 2012. http://ankhsvn.open.collab.net/ Tom Loomis Software Architect Arcanum Solutions 603-434-0219 (voice) 617-688-4728 (cell) 603-965-2929 (fax) www.arcanumsolutions.com From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, September 17, 2012 12:30 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [talkbws] Source Control Hi, Any BWS writers out there use commercial source control to backup, version, merge, etc, your scripts? And if you have, what package are you using, and how easy/hard is it to integrate? Thanks!
