I want to comment on a statement made in the latest Boston Workstation 
newsletter.  Thom states:

"Virtualization software that creates virtual servers is fundamentally 
incompatible for screen based automation. This is because virtual servers are 
highly tuned to favor background processes."

This is basically true however not entirely.  With Windows servers it is 
possible to adjust the settings to make the priority be for programs or 
background services.  I have been running multiple scripts on a Windows 2003 VM 
for a few years and it works quite well.  Often there are 3 - 5 scripts running 
simultaneously.  So if you run on a VM server, tune your server for best 
performance.
