Thanks for your responses. The issue doesn't appear to be with any steps in the scripts, as the scripts complete successfully sending all necessary email notifications, closing connections and setting the Shutdown BWS property and exiting out of the routine. If I look at the title bar of the BWS application after the script has completed, it still says running, however, if I click on the title bar, it changes to show that it's shutting down. It will then eventually shutdown (sometimes 5 minutes after doing this).
Anyways, thanks for the responses. It looks like this hasn't been an issue anyone has come across already, so I'll be contacting support. I'm not sure how exactly BWS works, but I'm assuming it's a server/client setup, with BWS being the server role, and VB being the client role (otherwise, how could you have more than one script running or have the ability to share across instances). If that's the case, then it could be rpc related, and could be a group policy governing rpc. Thom would be better able to answer that. Consequently the script hangs at that point. For instance, I have a script that sends an email before calling the close process. My development machine IP address is not authorized on the mail server. Therefore when I run the script from my development machine it stops when it hits the send email function. I suggest setting a break point and step through the script to see where it stops. Then you will have to troubleshoot why it stops where it does. Possibly it is related to the brand new PC not being authorized to interact on your network? But don't get hung up on that possibility. Good troubleshooting requires an open mind. I hope this helps! May God richly bless you! Bill But with Christ, we have access in a one-to-one relationship, for, as in the Old Testament, it was more one of worship and awe, a vertical relationship. The New Testament, on the other hand, we look across at a Jesus who looks familiar, horizontal. The combination is what makes the Cross.
