The question of the type of file really is based on what needs to be stored. Excel is great for storing discrete data elements; individual fields captured from the screen. It would do a terrible job if the need is to simply store an entire glob of all text captured from the screen.
A text file won't do as good a job of storing discrete data elements as Excel, because you'd need to create the concept of fields using delimiters. But if the need is an entire glob of a screen, it's very easy to do: Open MyFile for output as #1 (or for Append depending on need) Print #1, View() Close #1 Could also capture a visual using: Screenshot MyScreen.bmp Certainly possible to use the same document - either to overwrite or append. What would be the best way to do this, in an excel file or text file? Would it be possible to use the same document each day that it runs?
