Kris,
According to the BWS help documentation:
According to the BWS help documentation:
"During
scripting, when logging is enabled, all commands that are learned are added to
the log. In addition the current screen and cursor location can be added to the
log by clicking the Log Screen button."
If you can get the
screens to dump out to a .txt file using Log Screen, this might be your best
bet. I have done this in regular VB against apps using "Print" to send data to
a text file. Print "Writes
display-formatted data to a sequential file", but it's a little cludgy, and I'm
not sure if it's supported in BWS. You need to define your text file as an
object, define your screen real estate as a string, then Print your string to
the object.
Good luck,

Kris,
I can't help you with your question as I'm a new user to BWS. But your
question intrigued me because we're looking at buying the Patient Folder
(we have a lot of McKesson products). Is it difficult to extract useful
data from it, ie text files? Or is this situation below an unusual
situation?
Thanks!

Does anyone know if it is possible to read data from a document? We
have a system (McKesson Horizon Patient Folder) that will only output
in
PDF or TIF, not regular text file. We would like to be able to scan
for
certain data in a specific location and use that data for another
process. Has anyone had any success with this or something similar?
Thanks for any help!
