Greetings,

GE Centricity is a windows app - I've worked with it before. It's for the
most part pretty "vanilla".

I believe the suggestion below is the right one, do "something" in GE that
extracts the information - I do not have any knowledge about GE's
abilities here.

Once extracted, you'll need to make sure it "matches up" with the Meditech
screens. Meaning the data extracted can be keyed into Meditech successfully.
A script can make data format changes (date, time) those sorts of things -
or you can use Excel to format it ahead of time.

Data entry into Meditech from a spreadsheet (or any other file format)
should not be difficult at all - and perhaps folks on the list have
dictionary update scripts already for what you're looking for.

Regards,

Thom

In my limited knowledge of Centricity I believe you will have to export your
dictionaries in to excel spreadsheets and them have meditech import the
data.

We are in the process of implementing Meditech Magic 5.6.2 ORM. We would
like to move inventory, physician cards, etc... from the current GE
Centricity product to Meditech. Has anyone done this? If so how hard was
it? Did you run into any difficulties?
