​There are few circumstances ​these days in which a commercial vendor would
find mass distribution of Linux DVDs to be commercially viable. The
business model has gone the way of Blockbuster.

Consider that a growing number of laptops and even desktops don't even have
DVD drives built in, and encourage the use of USB sticks that are reusable;
I have a specific stick that always has the most current version of Mint.
not every system has a drive anymore, but most of them can boot off a USB
stick.
