IMHO, wget thinks a MB is 2^20 (== 1MiB), instead of 10^6.  This results in a

If you are talking millions in currency, or objects you are talking about something that is a power of 10. If you are talking about millions in computer terms (ie. bytes), the value is a power of 2.

It is all about the units.
