Nice, thanks for pointing that out! I just did the upgrade on my Archer C7 v2 (there are apparently now up to v7, perhaps not all actually available), went quite painlessly.
It shifts from a version 3 Linux kernel to 4.9.111, which is presumably wildly newer. I see differences in the web UI that aren't highly significant but suggestive that the UI was touched.
